Wadah Chronicles

The Wadah Chronicles is a series of publications highlighting the latest news and information about Wadah Foundation, its supported communities, and its partners.

As an in-house graphic designer, I was in charge of the overall design and layout of the publication throughout its production from 2016 - 2022, including its transition to digital-only edition since 2020.

The design concept of each article/news is dependent on the quality and quantity of available images and text. The photos used for the publication are sourced straight from the communities or individuals whom the article is based on. Since the photos are not normally taken by a professional photographer, the qualities and styles of the photos received vary greatly, so each news article is treated differently and customized according to the available content.

Ever since the switch from print to exclusively digital, the design and layout of the magazine had to be changed. The digital version also incorporates that use of hyperlinks in texts and elements to take full advantage of its digital nature.
